Stimulating classes for all ages, that involves crafts, videos, rallies and outreach.
Christian Education is an integral part of the ministry here at the Temple
of Greater Beth-EL and is about discipleship and growing and learning about Christ.
The primary purpose is to teach
biblical principles and godly living and to encourage students at every age
and stage of life into an understanding of and a relationship with Jesus Christ.
TO KNOW HIM, TO GROM IN HIM, TO LOVE HIM, TO SERVE HIM
Classes:
Currently, Christian Education classes are offered on Thursday nights at
7:30pm for students’ ages 3 – 18.
On Sunday morning at 9:30am we offer a New Members class that is open to all
new members and those who have not previously attended, an Adult class for those ages 18+, a Young
Peoples class for ages 13 to 18, and a children’s class for ages 3 to 12.
All classes are stimulating, engaging, and thought provoking and instructors
utilize various instructional strategies and tactics (role-plays, crafts,
group discussions, technology, etc.) to garner participation and guide the
students toward continued spiritual growth and development.
Note: Those completing the New Members class are encouraged to continue
their spiritual development by attending Christian Education classes.
How to Volunteer To Become a Teacher:
Those interested in volunteering to be part of our Christian Education (CE)
staff should complete the Volunteer Interest form located at the CE table and submit it to Sis.
Dorothea Terry,
Christian Education Superintendent.
Successful applicants must have completed the New Members class, be willing
to commit to the Standards set forth for all teachers, be faithful and committed to the ministry, and will
be required to successfully complete a 6-week teachers certification class before assigned to a class.
